Before founding Sledgehammer Games and developing Call of Duty, Glen Scofield worked at EA Redwood Shores – also known as Visceral Games. As part of this studio, he was developing the revolutionary Dead Space. He was not involved in the development of the sequels, but following the announcement of the remake on EA Play, he tweeted that the series is still important to him and he is looking forward to what will be created based on it.
Managing the development of the original Dead Space was one of the most important things in my career. I’m excited and want to see what EA Motive does on the game.
The Motive team responded to the tweet, saying that all of this was made possible thanks to Glen, who paved the way.
Scofield is currently working at Striking Distance and developing the space horror The Callisto Protocol , which will be the spiritual successor to Dead Space. There will also be visual elements that perform the functionality of the interface. And also, for some absurd reason, they decided to place the game in the PUBG universe . The release is scheduled for 2022.
