One of the developers of Homefront: The Revolution, Matt Phillips, tweeted that a playable version of TimeSplitters 2 was built into the game. You can play it in an in-game machine. But there was one catch – the key combination for activation was lost.
The developer said that he had lost the notebook where the code was. At the same time, earlier he gave his friend a code to publish it on the Discord server. But there the friend was called a liar and banned.
Fortunately, after the tweets, a friend also showed up – it turned out to be the current Xbox software engineer Spencer Perrault, who shared that code.
In addition, modder Lance McDonald shared the combinations from the machine gun that activated other modes.
Surprisingly, for this Easter egg, a full-fledged port of the game with support for 4K was assembled, and not just a game emulator. There are two story levels available for passing.
