The Witcher prequel is left without a leading actress

Deadline has announced that British actress Jodie Turner-Smith will not be able to star in The Witcher: Blood Origin, the six-episode prequel to The Witcher. All due to inconsistencies in the schedule of the actress, because Netflix moved the date of filming.

She was supposed to play the elf Eily, and the show will tell the story of the world 1200 years before the events of The Witcher, when an attempt was made in the elf world to create the first monster slayer. The show should also talk about the Conjugation of the Spheres when humans arrived in the elf world.

The release date for The Witcher: Blood Origin remains unknown.
