Midgar Studios and Dear Villagers have set a date for the official release of the Japanese RPG Edge of Eternity . According to a press release, early access Steam title will leave on June 8, and before the end of the year, there will be console versions for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. In addition, the game will be included in the Game Pass catalog and will receive a major update on release day that will offer gamers an additional 20 hours of gameplay.
The authors raised funds for the creation of Edge of Eternity through the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. The total amount of donations amounted to more than 160 thousand dollars. Development proceeded slowly – it took game designers three years (from 2015 to 2018) for the game to be released in Steam Early Access, and another three years (from 2018 to 2021) took the finalization of the main version and the creation of the console version.
Currently Edge of Eternity has 6 of 7 game chapters and a full story prologue for a total of 40 hours of gameplay. As part of the journey, users will join a squad of 6 fighters and explore 5 large dungeons, in which 14 bosses will await them.
Until April 13th, there is a 33% discount on the game on Steam.
