Journalist Jeff Grubb shared another insight. According to him, Hideo Kojima is in talks with Microsoft to release his next game. An insider claims that the statuette of Ludens (the Kojima Productions mascot) that was on Phil Spencer’s shelf during one of the streams is a hint of ongoing negotiations.
Additionally, Grubb denied rumors that the recently announced PS5 exclusive Abandoned is some kind of secret game from Kojima. According to him, sometimes a title with a strange trailer from a mysterious studio is just a title with a strange trailer from a mysterious studio, and not another brilliant scam of Hideo.
Kojima and his studio announced the development of a new game back in October last year, but no details have yet been disclosed. It’s no surprise that the game designer’s silence gives rise to many of the wildest and most unusual rumors.
The last game of Hideo Kojima was the Death Stranding courier simulator. The title was released in November 2019 on PS4, and made it to PC last year.
