Call of Duty: Warzone players have been dissatisfied for weeks with the fact that the game has formed a meta around AUG and FFAR, which will allow you to effectively deal with the enemy both at short and long distances. With high damage and very low recoil, which gives an obvious advantage in any conditions.
Finally, the developers heard the requests of gamers and nerfed both weapon models in the new Warzone patch . In particular, the AUG now has a much higher recoil, which makes the pattern much more elongated than before the patch. Twitter user Xclusive Ace did an experiment and showed a comparison of weapons before and after the patch.
Since Warzone players can collect their own sets of equipment during the matches, the balance must take into account not only the weapon itself, but also all possible combinations of modifications. In the case of the AUG, the developers changed the base characteristic. This does not mean that they will stop using it – even with a large pull of the barrel, the model is still effective.
With regard to FFAR, here the developers have reduced the aiming speed. As explained in the patch notes, the rifle is now more in line with medium range.
