Crytek has released an update for Crysis Remastered , which adds three graphics modes to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. In addition, the Ascension level and the classic nanosuit menu have appeared in all versions of the shooter.
PlayStation 5:
- Performance Mode – 1080p / 60 FPS
- Quality mode – 1800p / 60 FPS
- Ray tracing – 1440p / 60 FPS
Xbox Series X:
- Performance Mode – 1080p / 60 FPS
- Quality mode – 2160p / 60 FPS
- Ray tracing – 1440p / 60 FPS
Xbox Series S:
- Performance Mode – 1080p / 60 FPS
- Quality mode – 2160p / 30 FPS
- Ray tracing – 1080p / 30 FPS
The patch also contains a bunch of fixes. The complete changelog is available here and here .
In addition, experts from Digital Foundry managed to test the versions for the Xbox Series, and the impressions were pretty average. Xbox Series X in quality mode keeps the frequency in the region of 50-60 FPS, and Series S drops even lower. In the case of the latter, John Linneman of DF wonders why the console was lifted up to 2160p resolution.
In performance mode Series X performs well, and Series S is even worse than in quality mode – dips up to 40 FPS. In terms of ray tracing, the same is not very good – Series X often sags, and Series S shows the most stable results, since it operates in this mode at 1080p / 30 FPS.
Details of the PS5 version will be available at a later date.
