Nextgen version of Mortal Shell for new consoles will be released in early March

Soul-like developers Mortal Shell announced that an updated version of the title for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series will be released on March 4th. All PS4 and Xbox One game owners will receive a free upgrade.

The dark action game will receive quite standard improvements on the new consoles of Sony and Microsoft:

  • 60 FPS
  • 4K resolution
  • Improved textures
  • Support for DualSense features on PS5

The Xbox Series S will also support 4K resolution, but at 30 frames per second.

Mortal Shell is a fairly average Dark Souls clone that has its own hallmarks. The game was released in August last year and received mostly positive reviews from players and critics.

The title will appear on Steam this summer.
