Jason Schreier Multiplayer Removed From Dragon Age 4

Jason Schreier has published an article on the development of Dragon Age 4 . According to him, from the role-playing game BioWare studios cut out multiplayer and now it will only be single. There will be no service models.

The reason for two recent EA games is likely Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Anthem. It’s simple – EA saw that a single player without microtransactions and loot boxes could reach 10 million players, and the cancellation of the restart of multiplayer Anthem, which did not live up to expectations on release, showed that players now do not need it at all.

This all fits well with today’s head of EA’s internal studios Laura Miley:

Development of Dragon Age 4  began in 2015 and was relaunched in 2017. The official announcement took place in 2018, and last year there were the first hints of the future. The current state of the game is unknown, but it is hardly worth waiting for a release this year.

As for BioWare, the studio is working on a remaster of the original Mass Effect and Mass Effect Next trilogy, which should link the trilogy and Andromeda.
