Sony announces nextgen VR for PlayStation 5

Sony has officially announced that it is working on a new VR solution for the PlayStation 5. There is no full name yet, as well as a release date.

The headset will not be released in 2021.

Sony said it has heard player feedback on PS VR, so the new VR headsets will feature increased resolution, field of view (FOV) and a new tracking and control system. In addition, the headset will be connected with one cable. Sony noted that the new VR device will in some way use some of the DualSense features.

More details to come.
