New EA Patent Aims To Remove The Need To Download Games To Run Them

A new Electronic Arts patent has appeared on the network , which was approved on February 16. According to the description, with the help of it the company wants to completely eliminate the download of games so that users do not waste their time. For gamers, the streaming system will do it.

The new technology should work as follows: the user starts downloading a game that has not been previously installed on the media. The download request goes to the server, after which the game becomes available for launch almost immediately. The download may continue in the background. This would save a lot of time and hassle, especially on release day.

In fact, it turns out a more advanced version of Stadia, where, in parallel with streaming gameplay, the game is installed on the system.

It is worth noting that this technology can only work stably with a very good Internet connection. If the speed of the Internet is simply not enough, then there is little sense from this.
