Epic Games Will Give Fortnite and Rocket League Loot Buyers In-Game Currency

Due to a class action lawsuit filed by US players against Epic Games over loot boxes, the company has decided to give all players who have ever bought loot boxes in Fortnite and the Rocket League with 1,000 units of in-game currency.

Despite the fact that the lawsuit is only related to the United States, Epic Games has decided to extend the measure to the entire world. These funds should appear in players’ accounts shortly.

In the US, the company will also refund up to $ 50 for valid claims for loot boxes to players who have suffered from this form of monetization.

Tim Sweeney said that players need to know in advance what they are buying, which is why Epic Games has abandoned this monetization.
