Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions are working on a TV series based on Twisted Metal. It has been described as an action comedy.
According to the plot, the main character is offered a chance for a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package through the post-apocalyptic wasteland. He will face wild marauders and other dangers of open roads, including a deranged clown who drives a familiar ice cream truck.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (Deadpool, Zombieland) are responsible for the script. The date of the premiere, of course, is still unknown.
