Intel opened sales of DG1 discrete graphics accelerators based on the Xe LP architecture. This is the first video card from the company intended for PC, but we are not talking about gaming capabilities.

DG1 specifications:

  • 80 computing units
  • Frequency 1.7 GHz
  • 4 GB LPDDR4X memory
  • 2.11 teraflops performance

The video cards are intended for corporate clients – the discrete DG1 will not appear in retail. The cards are produced by ASUS and Colorful factories. It is worth noting that video cards are not compatible with AMD processes – a special BIOS with Intel Iris Xe support is required.

In addition, the company showed the Xe-HPC graphics processor, which consists of more than a dozen chips. It will form the basis of the Ponte Vecchio computing accelerators, but there are no details of the performance yet.
