Rumor The Sims 5 will have subscriptions and mod support

According to new vacancies at Maxis, the studio has begun recruiting professionals who understand business models. It’s about knowledge of subscription services and cross-platform capabilities. It is also said that it will be a bonus for the future employee if he has knowledge of modding The Sims.

Fans of the studio believe that the job openings are about The Sims 5.

Perhaps Maxis intends to empower the community. Modifications would diversify the gamer’s gaming experience without having to wait for new DLCs, and crossgaming would allow, for example, using PC saves on the console. Now there is no such possibility.

The vacancies also contain information that game development will be carried out on the Unreal Engine. Maxis has not officially announced the development of the next installment of The Sims.
