From January 14 to January 21, the Star Wars Battlefront II shooter was handed out for free on the Epic Games Store . Literally a couple of days after the start of the promotion, the servers of the game could not withstand the influx of players and, as expected, collapsed . As it turns out, the influx of gamers is huge.
EA tweeted that over 19 million players have taken the shooter away as part of the giveaway.
Despite the end of support for Battlefront II at the end of April last year (the final update of Battle of Scarif), players continue to actively enter the shooter. DICE has done a great job on bugs, straightened out the situation with loot boxes. It even led some players to ask the studio to release several paid add-ons.
Star Wars Battlefront II is available on PC and consoles of both generations.
