Mechs and anime about them are very popular in Japan. So much so that Twitter user kaminari_kz decided to make a simulator of controlling a mech from a cabin based on the game Armored Core for his graduation work at school.
His efforts can be appreciated in the video below.
It was made on the basis of a regular gamepad, but with a lot of complex systems, for example, the cockpit is suspended and reacts to the movements of the robot in the game. It no longer looks like a game, but as a full-fledged simulator for honing the skills of controlling mechs in the army.
If the Mechs were once adopted by the Japan Self-Defense Forces, the young man could become their engineer.
The latest game in the Armored Core series: Verdict Day was released in 2013 on PS3.
