Last week, Euro Truck Simulator 2 developers launched a new event called Hauling Hope. In it, players will find a set of missions to deliver coronavirus vaccines to various locations. This is not much different from other missions, but players will have appropriate trailers.
At the same time, the SCS Software studio managed to get into a scandal with anti-Axis. In the original press release, the developers wrote the following:
We are neither in favor of nor against vaccines, we just want to express our appreciation and support to every truck driver who has faced very difficult times since the start of the pandemic!
It seemed to TheGamer.com journalists that the Czech studio encourages the anti-Axis movement, while being located in a country with a high level of public indecision towards vaccinations. As a result, the developers apologized and said that the phrase about the vaccine should not be in the press release.
Later, the developers of Euro Truck Simulator 2 wrote that they understand the full danger of coronavirus and recommend following the advice on combating the disease.
