The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) banned 35 CS: GO players at once for the bets made by the tournament participants during ESEA MDL Australia. Players will not be able to participate in ESL, DreamHack and ESEA tournaments for 12 to 60 months or five years.
According to the rules of the commission, tournament participants are not allowed to place bets on tournaments organized by ESIC partners, on the victory or defeat of their team, and any other types of bets. Each of the banned 35 esportsmen violated one of the points of the rules.
ESIC urged tournament participants to play fair and to refuse any bets that could be profitable.
