Square Enix registers FInal Fantasy VII trademark in Europe

Square Enix registers FInal Fantasy VII trademark in Europe

In mid-January, information surfaced on the Internet that Square Enix had registered three trademarks in Japan that were somehow related to Final Fantasy VII . The company did not stop there and continued registration, but already in Europe.

In particular, the company introduced the Even Crisis brand in Canada and Europe on January 18 and 19, respectively.

There were only two games released under this title:

  • Mobile Before Crisis: FInal Fantasy VII in 2004
  • 2007 PSP title Crisis Core: FInal Fantasy VII

There is still no information why the company registers these trademarks. We are waiting for the nearest announcements from Square Enix. According to an insider Navtra, in February the company will present an updated remake of the “seven” for PS5 and, probably, other platforms.

Until April 10, the FInal Fantasy VII remake is available exclusively on Sony platforms.
