Lead artist Takay Imamura has left Nintendo, as he posted on his Facebook. Takaya has worked for the company for 32 years and has contributed to The Legend of Zelda, Super Smash Bros., Starfox and other games.
He joined the studio back in 1989 and has worked on Nintendo titles as an artist ever since. After some time, he was promoted to lead artist, and he worked in this position until his departure.
Takaya took a photo before leaving the Nintendo building and said that he would miss these native walls very much.
Takaya Imamura is only 54 years old, so we will most likely see him soon with another studio. Perhaps he will end his career in the gaming industry. The developer did not share his plans.
