Call of Duty: Warzone is one of Activision’s main assets at the moment. Free Battle Royale attracts tens of millions of players who bring big bucks to the company. Unfortunately, it is not known exactly which studio is supporting the game.
Since its release, Infinity Ward has been in charge of it, but the studio is currently silent on updates. Because of this, PC Gamer decided to investigate the issue and find out who is supporting the royal battle.
The PR department replied to the publication that Raven Software and Infinity Ward are simultaneously involved in the game, but no one said who is in charge of supporting the game. It looks like Raven has taken over the support of the free battle royale.
After the start of the first season, it is Raven who tweets reports of patches and cosmetic updates. She also deals with the balance of the title. Infinity Ward remains silent.
This is important because Raven may have a different perspective on the state of the meta in the game. Throughout Warzone’s history , there have always been imbalanced weapons in the game, but perhaps Raven will try to fix that. Also, the studio should try to get rid of cheaters in the royal battle.
This raises the question of what Infinity Ward is doing right now. Perhaps the studio is simultaneously preparing a new map for Warzone and a sequel to Modern Warfare. Unfortunately, it remains unknown what the next game in the shooter series will be and when it will be released. There is a possibility that it will be released by Sledgehammer Games, then the next Modern Warfare is waiting for players only in 2022.
