Ember Lab co-founder Josh Grier, in an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine, spoke about where the developers got inspiration for Kena: Bridge of Spirits .
Grier suddenly noted the culture of Bali – in particular, the music.
The introduction and understanding of Balinese culture came after we started working with the local group Gamelan Cudamani. Our composer, Jason Gallati, contacted this group and invited them to participate in creating music that combines the musical style of gamelan and traditional instruments.
Jason spent a lot of time with them to respectfully and accurately convey the spirit and mood of Balinese culture. These things are very similar to the ideas of Kena: Bridge of Spirits – helping spirits trapped.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be released this year on PC, PS4 and PS5. Recently, the developers shared other details of their brainchild, and also talked about support for the features of the DualSense gamepad .
