PS5 owners could previously play The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim , but with unavailable features. For example, there is no full-fledged 60fps mode. Previously, a mod was released for the Xbox Series that allows you to unlock 60 fps, but now it’s the turn of the Sony console.
User Wrighton released the modification on January 12, but major publications only noticed it yesterday after the update was released. According to Wrighton, the game runs at 4K / 60fps. A regular PS4 also supports 60 fps, but at 1080p.
The new Xbox consoles received similar modifications back in December last year. Their work was checked by specialists from Digital Foundry, who found out that fps decreases only in the most difficult scenes.
Wrighton noted that support for trophies on PS5 can be left if the plugin is disabled after installing the mod. True, this process will have to be repeated every time you start Skyrim again .
