It looks like Matt Damon is returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Australian media wrote that the actor flew to Sydney on a private jet with his family and is in mandatory quarantine. Upon completion, he must go to the set of “Thor: Love and Thunder” (Thor: Love and Thunder).
The details of the future role are unknown, but the media suggests that the actor will have a rather extensive role. Also, the option of a cameo by the Asgardian actor who played Loki in the theatrical production in Thor: Ragnarok is not excluded, but journalists are not sure that the quarantine is worth it to appear on the film screen for 30 seconds.
Here’s Damon’s past role in the Marvel films (up at 0:35):
Perhaps Matt will actually play this actor again, and flew to Australia with his family to relax and spend a little time with loved ones, without work and in a different environment. Officially, no one announced the actor’s participation in the filming of Thor: Love and Thunder.
Filming of the blockbuster is in full swing. Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan, Dave Batista, Jamie Alexander and Sean Gunn returned to their roles. The role of the antagonist will be played by Christian Bale. Natalie Portman will play Jane Foster again and will have a key role in the film.
Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on May 5, 2022.
