Recently, the head of studio Hazelight, Jozef Fares, gave an interview to IGN , in which he severely criticized the name of the Xbox Series consoles. In the same conversation, he shared the successes of the co-op A Way Out , released in 2018.
The game designer said that his brainchild surpassed the 3.5 million mark. Given the free play option for the second user, Fares is confident that a total of 7 million gamers have played A Way Out .
When I believe in something, nothing will stop me. Obviously no one believed in A Way Out – even EA didn’t think the game was going to hit it off, but they believed in me. I wasn’t worried. In my head there was only the thought: “We will do this.”
Almost 3.5 million copies have been sold. These are crazy numbers for a team of 30-35 people. 3.5 million means almost 7 million gamers have played the game. This is madness.
Now Hazelight Studios is working on another co-op title – It Takes Two . Its release will take place on March 26th on PC and consoles of both generations.
