Star Wars Battlefront 2 giveaway crashes EA servers, company promises to fix issue

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is free to pick up at Epic Games this week … but there may be some issues in terms of play. The distribution has led to such loads on the servers that players receive various errors or regularly crash from matches. EA is committed to taking steps to improve the situation.

A message appeared on EA Help’s official Twitter:

A huge number of players have joined us during the Epic Games Store giveaway, and we are making arrangements to connect additional capacities so you can enjoy Battlefront. We are scaling up and want to thank everyone for your patience. More details in future posts.

One of the most common errors with code 918 is that access to network functions is restricted. But this does not mean that the account is banned, the servers are simply overloaded and as soon as the situation improves, you can safely play.
