Kena: Bridge of Spirits was announced last year and was supposed to be part of the PS5 launch lineup, but the game’s release was delayed. Adventure details now appear online. More information was presented in the latest issue of PlayStation Magazine.
Ember Lab co-founder Josh Greer called the game linear, but powerful. It will have a main plot to move along, but the player is free to explore the game world in different directions.
It also became known that Kena: Bridge of Spirits provides for a fight against player progress. That is, you cannot just choose a direction – for this you need to go through some kind of test. For example, solve a puzzle, defeat a boss.
Greer described one of the situations as follows:
When the bow becomes available to Kene, she may find more ways to unlock the main path. Kena can shoot targets with a row of gears in a complex puzzle mechanism that will open up a new path.
The same can be done with a bomb or with the help of rot. The more there are, the more power Ken can use to lift and clear objects out of the way.
