Dynamic resolution and stable 60 frames - analysis of the nextgen version of Jedi Fallen Order

The other day for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order a patch was released that improves the graphical component of the game on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S consoles. It is important to emphasize that the Respawn title still works through backward compatibility, and the update only affects resolution and frame rate.

Technical details:

  • Xbox Series X: Performance mode – 1080p-1440p / 60 FPS, Quality mode – 1512p-2160p / 30 FPS
  • PlayStation 5: Performance Mode Only – 1200p-1440p / 60 FPS
  • Xbox Series S: performance mode only – 900p-1080p (usually 1080p) / 60 FPS

Overall picture quality is about the same, except for improved shadows on Series X and post-effects on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available on PC and consoles of both generations. The title is also included in EA Play and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.
