According to Deadline, Brendan Fraser will star in Darren Aronofsky’s next film. The film is called The Whale and is based on the 2012 play of the same name.
The adaptation is taken by the original author Samuel D. Hunter.
The plot of the film is dedicated to a man weighing 595 Pounds, who lives far from the benefits of civilization. The main character gained weight amid the loss of a loved one. Therefore, overeating helps to overcome grief. However, the hero still seeks a chance for redemption.
The original play focuses on the relationship between a man and his daughter. Whether this storyline will appear in the film is still unknown. It is also unclear if Matthew Libatik will be the cameraman for The Whale, as he is at the center of the litigation.
The last film by Darren Aronofsky at the moment is “Mom!” Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem played the leading roles in the film. In 2017, the film was nominated for the Golden Lion, and in 2018 almost received three Golden Raspberries.
