Warner Bros. nominated Wonder Woman 1984 for Oscars in all categories

According to Comic Book, Warner Bros. decided to nominate Wonder Woman 1984 for an Oscar in all categories. Among them are Best Film, Best Actress (Gal Gadot), Best Director (Patty Jenkins), Best Supporting Actor (Chris Pine and Pedro Pascal) and Best Supporting Actress (Connie Nielsen, Kristen Wiig and Robin Wright).

The Nielsen and Wright nominations raise the most questions, since the actresses are unlikely to have five minutes of screen time even for two. In addition, Nielsen has practically no cues.

While Warner Bros. trying to put forward “Wonder Woman 1984”, the picture shows itself rather poorly at the box office – the worldwide box office of the tape reached $ 131.4 million, but there is still a fall. Patty Jenkins’ film grossed just $ 3 million over the weekend, a 47% drop. Total gross in the United States was $ 32.6 million.

The Academy Awards ceremony will take place on 25 April. Let’s see what nominations “Wonder Woman 1984” really will be in.
