Naughty Dog started work on a new title last year

The journalists  Twisted Voxel  found changes in the positions of some of the staff Naughty Dog studio. They happened last year and are associated with the beginning of the development of a new game. All changes have been reflected on the linked pages of the developers.

Richard Cambier, Curt Margeno and Anthony Newman were promoted to Game Directors. Previously, all three were leading game designers. Richard, Anthony and Kurt were actively involved in the development of The Last of Us Part II. All job changes took place in August-September 2020.

Around the same time, it became known that the studio had begun work on a new title.

Several important employees are involved in the development of the new game. For example, Audio Director Robert Krekel, Lead AI Engineer Max Dykoff, and Lead Animator Maxim Zhuravlev. At the same time, many positions are open in the studio, and from the confirmed titles in development there is only the multiplayer The Last of Us Part II. Most likely, there are at least three teams in the studio now: some of the employees are engaged in updating the PS5 game, the second – with a new game, and the third – with multiplayer.

There are no details about the new title, but you can be sure that it will be released on PS5.
