Mercedes-Benz yesterday unveiled the latest digital dashboard for the EQS electric sedan. The company has developed something new for the flagship electric car, which is due to debut this spring.
The official name of the panel is Hyperscreen MBUX. It combines multiple OLED displays combined into one curved 56-inch panel. Mercedes even went for the side deflectors to be integrated right into the Hyperscreen.
The panel is powered by an 8-core processor and 24 GB of RAM. Chief Designer Gordon Wagener said Mercedes loves simplicity, which is why MBUX has intuitive controls. The driver will not need to wander through the menu – just select the appropriate icon.
As for the Mercedes-Benz VISION EQS, its announcement took place back in September 2019. The special pride of the company is auto lighting technology. The headlights contain 500 diodes each, 940 diodes on the grille, and the taillights consist of 229 diodes.
Other characteristics of the car:
- Two electric motors with a total capacity of 476 hp and 760 Nm
- On a full charge, the car will travel 443 miles
- Third level autopilot provided
- Vehicle weight 4850 Livre
The cost of Mercedes-Benz VISION EQS will be about 140 thousand dollars.
