Dying Light 2 writer and art director Pavel Selinger left Techland after 22 years of work. He announced this on his Linkedin profile.
After 22 years at Techland, I decided to leave the studio. I am very grateful to the company for the opportunity to develop and realize myself during half of my life. Techland, I will always support you and the people I met through my studio work.
I would love to see Dying Light 2 and the studio’s next games become world hits. Goodbye and good luck!
The second part of the zombie action was announced in 2018 and since then the title has gone through many problems, including transfers and internal conflicts in the studio. Last year, for example, Techland fired game director and screenwriter Chris Avellone over sexual harassment allegations.
The game is probably not doing very well right now, but let’s hope it will release later this year. At least, the developers in the New Year’s greetings noted that they will soon share the news of the title.
