Diablo 3 speedrunners break two world records in one playthrough

As part of the Awesome Games Done Quick charity speedrun event, a team of three Diablo 3 players managed to break two world records in one playthrough.

Speedrunners meatr0o, Heckson, and Whisperra played Diablo 3 in Any% co-op format, which means that they can play through the game normally without doing any special tasks. It took gamers only 1 hour 19 minutes and 15 seconds to kill Diablo and Malthael (the main villain of the Reaper of Souls add-on).

The group managed not only to break the previous record in the three-player category, but in the four-player category. In the latter case, the result is very close – one minute faster.

As the gamers explained before starting the passage, the key to success in this format is team play and the ability to minimize the cost of precious time for routine tasks such as the synchronous use of portals in the social hub to submit quests.
