Analyst firm Sensor Tower has published a detailed report on user spending on mobile apps in 2020. It turned out that in just a year they grew by 30% and reached an impressive $ 111 billion.
For the year in the AppStore and PlayMarket, people spent $ 72.3 and $ 38.6 billion, respectively. In both cases, the growth was about 30%. TikTok was the most profitable app, followed by YouTube and Tinder in third. The most downloaded are TikTok, Zoom and WhatsApp.
Smartphone gaming generated $ 79.5 billion: $ 47.6 on iOS and $ 31.9 on Android. The most profitable ones were PUBG Mobile, Arena of Valor and Pokemon GO. The most downloaded were Among Us, Garena Free Fire and Subway Surfers.
