Bloomberg Business Tokyo-based senior news editor Jerouade Reidy said Nintendo is buying Canadian studio Next Level Games. The company has been working with a Japanese publisher for a long time. The latest fruits of their collaboration are Luigi’s Mansion 3 for Switch, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, and Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon for 3DS.
Nintendo will buy out all Next Level Games shares. They are with the staff and the studio management. The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
According to the forecast, the deal will be closed on March 1, 2021.
