Amazon has unveiled a new trailer for the biography “One Night in Miami” (One Night in Miami). The tape is dedicated to Muhammad Ali, who in 1964 became the world champion, but because of the law on racial segregation, the star is forced to celebrate in a hotel.
The film is set on February 25, 1964. Young boxer Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali) becomes world champion. The whole of Miami is celebrating his victory, but because of the law on racial segregation, he himself is forced to spend the night in a hotel with friends – political activist Malcolm X, football player Jim Brown and singer Sam Cook.
This is the directorial debut of actress Regina King, who won an Oscar for her supporting role in If the Beale Street Could Talk. It stars Eli Gorey (Ali), Kingsley Ben-Adir (X) and Aldis Hodge (Brown).
“One Night in Miami” was released in limited release in late December and is expected to be released on Amazon Prime on January 15th.
