Condensation occurs inside AirPods Max with extended use

Redditor Donald_Filimon reported an unexpected issue he found with his Apple AirPods Max headphones. It turned out that with prolonged use, condensation appears inside.

This can damage the headphones.

The user was wearing the headphones for 12 hours in a row after which he felt moisture and removed the fabric ear pads. There were drops under them, but it’s not that he was sweating or the headphones fell into the snow. The room was even cool.

In fact, the situation is common and this happens in any headphones in which the user sits for more than two hours. The ear pads fit so tightly against the head that they block normal ventilation.

Most AirPods Max owners should not face this problem, as they will periodically remove them from their heads. Not everyone sits on headphones for 12 hours straight.

AirPods Max will not appear on sale until March 2021.
