The Fall of Tristram Annual Event is back in Diablo III. Players will be able to re-visit the city of Tristram more or less the way it was in the original Diablo, released back in 1996.
The event was first held in late 2016 as a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the original game. It added a grainy, pixelated filter to recreate Diablo’s visuals and sent players through a strip of the title’s iconic locations. For example, you can find the original Butcher and other bosses.
Next year, the trip to Tristram will begin by investigating a concern from a group of cultists in Sanctuary. You will need to hunt them down to find clues that will point to a mysterious portal. He will send players to the old city. After passing through it, the hero will find himself in front of the cathedral, in which the dungeon began in the first Diablo.
Unique rewards and much more await players. The event will start on January 3rd.
