The RTX 3070, RTX 3080, and RTX 3090 graphics cards are quite hard to find even months after release. And what is available at significantly inflated prices. The shortage was associated with high demand, long production cycle, and the global pandemic still poses problems. But there is just wonderful news – a container full of RTX 30 series video cards was found in the port of South Korea. About 500 thousand video cards!
Unfortunately, the information turned out to be fake in honor of the Spanish “Fools’ Day” on December 28th.
As it became known this week , a port employee in South Korea discovered a “forgotten” cargo container that was not listed in the register. When he opened it, he noticed that the boxes were marked with the NVIDIA logo.
Having decided to open one of the boxes, the employee was surprised that they were packed with RTX 3080 video cards. After that, the hard worker notified the management and after an investigation it turned out that the container contains 500 thousand video cards that were produced back in August.
Due to an administrative error, the container with RTX 30 graphics cards was not recorded in the register of the logistics company. An NVIDIA spokesman has already confirmed that this batch was indeed lost a few months ago and searches have yielded no results.
The company has already said that the found graphics cards will be sent to stores to meet the demand of gamers. So, deliveries to Russia can be expected in the coming weeks. After all, 500k graphics cards is a hell of a lot. You look, and prices will return to normal.
