LucasFilm employee says emotions cannot be shared, which pissed off Star Wars fans

LucasFilm employee Pablo Hidalgo recently caused a scandal among Star Wars fans. Initially, the whole story began with recording the reaction of the author of the YouTube channel Star Wars Theory to the final episode of “The Mandalorian”.

Beware of spoilers for the show

The Internet has different attitudes towards videos on which viewers record their reactions. Luke Skywalker appeared in the last episode of The Mandalorian, which deeply moved the author of the SWT channel. Not everyone appreciated this manifestation of feelings, criticizing and accusing the blogger of winding up views.

However, this was not the problem and the real scandal, but the statement of Hidalgo, who is working on the mythology of the Star Wars universe and encyclopedias about it. In response to the video, he wrote:

Emotions are not meant to be shared.

The LucasFilm employee fixed the same phrase in his profile, but later changed it. Users were perplexed by the fact that it was at least strange to see such a reaction from an official representative of the film studio.

To this, the author of the reaction explained that he was touched not so much by the appearance of the hero in “The Mandalorian” as by the memories. The thing is that the image of Luke inspired him when he was undergoing cancer treatment. At the same time, he was upset by what was done to the hero in The Last Jedi.

Hidalgo apologized in response, but the discontent of the fans did not diminish. Some have suggested that Pablo’s reaction stemmed from the fact that he was on The Last Jedi and the new series was not.

How this scandal will end is not yet clear.
