Kotaku has posted material that addresses an important issue in Dreams . It turns out the game is full of content creators, but no one to play.
Authors, popular by Dreams standards, have long noted problems with players. Kotaku found out that there are several reasons. Firstly, in the game, the most viewed are comic, meme “imperfections”. They are always in the tops, but, in an amicable way, nobody needs them, and serious projects are in the shade. Secondly, developers choose only a few projects for special demonstration, hundreds of others are still neglected. Finally, third, marketing does not allow gamers to understand what they can expect from content creators.
The drop in the number of players is not the only problem. Monetization and community engagement are literally replaced by Patreon and Twitter in the case of interactive projects.
It remains to be hoped that the Media Molecule will listen and take action.
