Earlier this week, CD Projekt RED released a message of apology regarding the technical state of Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 and Xbox One, inviting players on these platforms to request a refund through Sony and Microsoft support. As it turned out later, not everyone can issue a refund, and there were no agreements between the Polish company and the platform holders at all.
The situation got even more confusing this morning. According to the authors of Kotaku, many PS4 users, after an unsuccessful attempt to issue a refund, wrote directly to CD Projekt RED – apparently there were a lot of messages, so the company sent letters to players asking them to postpone the desire to return the funds.
CDPR announced that it will provide PS4 players with detailed instructions for refunds by the end of the outgoing year, and continues to send Xbox users to support Microsoft – apparently, things are better with refunds there. In this case, applications to the studio itself are accepted until 21.12, because then there will be Christmas holidays.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series.
