Rumor Valve's new game will feature asymmetric PC and VR gameplay

The author of the YouTube channel Valve News Network Tyler McVeeker said that within the walls of Valve is developing a game codenamed Citadel. The title will be based on asymmetric PC gameplay and virtual reality.

According to McVeeker, the asymmetry is that one side has a top-down map view with the ability to create AI enemies. The other side, located at the bottom of the map, will fight the enemies. What role will go to PC-players, and what the owners of VR, is unknown.

Despite the title of the project “Citadel”, which refers to the universe of Half-Life, McVeeker is not sure if this will be so. He saw no evidence that the project was tied to this particular IP.

He himself thinks that the game could be suitable for Team Fortress 2. The shooter already has a similar Mann vs. Machine.
