The Cyberpunk 2077 developers should have received bonuses for their work on the game based on their final Metacritic score . Initially, it had to be greater than or equal to 90 points. Now this is the estimate for the PC version, but it does not take into account the game for PS4 and Xbox One.
The journalists received the console versions only with the release of the game, so they could not cover their raw quality. But they were “appreciated” by players who complained about optimizations and bugs for several days.
Bloomberg also spoke about the bonus system in the studio. For good and overtime work, employees received tokens that could be exchanged for bonuses if the game reached certain criteria, for example, high ratings from critics or a release on time.
