Disney has announced an Alien series from Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley. History will unfold on Earth in the near future. The series is being developed for the cable channel FX and the online cinema Hulu, which means it will be designed for an adult audience.

Disney + has reached 86.8 million subscribers. The head of the studio called the launch of the service a resounding success, and Disney wants to consolidate it. The company has unveiled a plan to release content across different universes:

  • 10 TV series in the Marvel Universe (including those already announced)
  • 10 Star Wars TV series (including Obi-Wan’s solo album)
  • 15 series from Disney and Pixar
  • 15 films from Disney and Pixar

In addition, a new Indiana Jones movie has been officially announced. The painting is under construction, the details of the plot remain a secret. Directed by James Mangold (Logan, Ford vs. Ferrari). Harrison Ford will return to his role.

Will Smith will host National Geographic’s Welcome to Earth Show. The actor will play the role of a traveler who visits different parts of the Earth. Chris Hemsworth will also host, but of a different program – Limitless, dedicated to the capabilities of the human body.

A series based on the fantasy “Willow” by Ron Howard. No details yet.

Disney plans to release original content for its online cinema every week, like Netflix. It was also announced that the animated film “Raya and the Last Dragon” will be released simultaneously in cinemas and the service in March 2021.

Disney + will have an adult section featuring R-rated content like Deadpool. Viewers will need to enter a password to access it.
