Filming for the reboot of Resident Evil is in full swing in Ontario, Canada. There are not very many details, but the scenery familiar to the players will definitely be in the new film adaptation of the famous game series. At the same time, there is less than a year left to wait for the premiere – the updated page of the film on the website of the Constantin Film studio hints at this.
It indicates that the film will be in the cinema from September 9, 2021. The page has not yet been updated, so the announcement may take place today. 09.09 is Thursday, on this day the premieres usually start, so the date looks quite expected.
Judging by the scenery, the adaptation may cover the plot of the first two parts of Resident Evil, but no one has officially confirmed this information. Plot details are unknown, although director and screenwriter Johannes Roberts unveiled the main cast for quite some time:
- Kaya Scodelario – Claire Redfield
- Robbie Amell – Chris Redfield
- Hannah John-Kamen – Jill Valentine
- Tom Hopper – Albert Wesker
- Evan Jogia – Leon Kennedy
- Neil McDonough – William Birkin
The official announcement and trailer for the Resident Evil adaptation may be shown before the end of the year.
