The upcoming film adaptation of Dune, based on Frank Herbert’s novel of the same name, has been rated PG-13. According to him, Denis Villeneuve’s film is suitable for people over 13 years old due to the strong violence, nasty shocking images and obscene material.

Humanity has settled in distant planets, and various powerful families are constantly fighting for power over the inhabited space. At the center of the confrontation is the desert planet Arrakis. Giant sandworms live there, and Fremen wanderers lurk in caves, but its main value is spice, the most important substance in the Universe. The one who controls Arrakis controls the spice, and the one who controls the spice controls the universe.
The film was originally supposed to be released in December 2020, but the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic put a spoke in the wheels. The premiere is scheduled for September 30 in Russia. In the US and other countries, the film will be simultaneously released on the HBO Max online cinema.
