Cyberpunk 2077 pre-orders reach 8 million copies

Cyberpunk 2077 pre-orders reach 8 million copies

According to the official Twitter of CD Projekt, pre-orders for Cyberpunk 2077 have reached a monstrous mark all the time – 8 million people have ordered the game. And this obviously happened not only in recent months, but became possible thanks to a long advertising campaign, the involvement of Keanu Reeves, bloggers, musicians and other activities.

The share of physical orders was only 26%:

It is still difficult to say how justified such an insane number of pre-orders is and what will happen to the sales of the game. But at the moment, the feedback from gamers is rather mixed. The main reason for the negativity is many technical problems. On PS4 and Xbox One, the game looks like it still needs months of refinement . PC is better, but Steam is already crammed with complaints about crashes and poor performance.

Hopefully, the proceeds from all of these pre-orders and sales will go towards a quick tidy up game and some very juicy bonuses for everyone who has been crunching Cyberpunk 2077 for months.
